Well, we wanted a good meal after Mickey D's and we found it! We were wandering, lost souls in the night market, bleary-eyed and hungry, squinting at complex kanji, trying to decipher if the menus read "Delicious Pork" or "Pig Snouts". Things were looking bad. Then, our saviors, in the form of Andrew's lab partners, came wandering down the street. They were giving their professor a sending off party, as he was flying out the next morning for the rest of the summer. With large, puppy-dog eyes and a slight hint of manic desperation, we begged for them to let us tag along. They senses the impeding danger and agreed, and we were off to...somewhere! With people! Who could read the menus!
They restaurant served Guo Guo, which is like a hotpot meal in Japan (like Sukiyaki or Shabu Shabu). Large pots with two sections had simmering/boiling broths with different spices. There was a buffet of ingredients to add, and you could order your choice of meat to cook with it all. Drinks and desserts were also all you could eat. It was fantastic!

Wonderful, marbled beef, Tang (what they call orange juice), and the Guo Guo pot, looking a little depleted right now. Soup base is also all you can eat, so we refilled several times. |

Andrew before he tried the raw duck's blood. |

Coke in a bottle. Also all you can drink. I controlled myself and had just one. |

Us and our saviors! |
Stuffed, we wandered back to our dorms and collapsed after a very full day.
